Visiting the Sagrada Família in 2026
The Sagrada Família is Antoni Gaudí's basilica in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Work began in 1882, Gaudí took over a year later, and the church was consecrated in 2010. It is still not finished: the main Glory facade on Carrer de Mallorca is the last big phase.
2026 is a special year. It marks 100 years since Gaudí's death on 10 June 1926, and on that day the new Tower of Jesus Christ, 172.5 metres tall, was blessed. You cannot go up this tower in 2026, but you can climb one tower on the Nativity or the Passion facade with the right ticket.
