Gaudí's works in Barcelona
Antoni Gaudí was born in Reus in 1852 and died in Barcelona on 10 June 1926, after a tram accident. In Barcelona he left a basilica, a park, a villa, a town palace and two houses on Passeig de Gràcia. Most of them are open to visitors, and almost all need a ticket for a fixed time slot.
The six buildings in this guide are the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà (La Pedrera), Casa Vicens and Palau Güell. If you only have time for three, combine the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and one of the two houses on Passeig de Gràcia.

The six Gaudí buildings
Four of them have their own page on this site. Casa Vicens and Palau Güell are described below.

Sagrada Família
Gaudí's unfinished basilica. Official tickets are sold online only, for a fixed time slot.

Park Güell
The mosaic terrace and the dragon staircase, with timed entry to the monumental zone.

Casa Batlló
The house on Passeig de Gràcia with the dragon-scale roof.

Casa Milà
La Pedrera, with its wavy stone facade and the sculpted chimneys on the roof.
Casa Vicens
A villa at Carrer de les Carolines 20 to 26. You can choose a self-guided visit, a guided visit or the "Sweet Gaudí" option. The audio guide is free. Prices and times come from a dynamic booking system, so check the current offer when you book.
Palau Güell
A town palace at Carrer Nou de la Rambla 3 to 5, near the Liceu stop on metro line L3. In 2026 it costs €15. It is closed on Mondays, apart from public holidays.

Gaudí and UNESCO
UNESCO lists the "Works of Antoni Gaudí" as one series. The first listing came in 1984 and covered Park Güell, Palau Güell and Casa Milà.
In 2005 the series was extended. It now also includes the Nativity facade and the crypt of the Sagrada Família, Casa Vicens, Casa Batlló and the crypt of the Colònia Güell, which lies outside the city. Note that the whole Sagrada Família is not a World Heritage Site, only the Nativity facade and the crypt.

A Gaudí route for one or two days
Book every time slot before you go. The order below keeps the days realistic.
One day
Start with the Sagrada Família in the morning. Plan about one hour for the basilica, or about one hour and 30 minutes with a tower. In the afternoon go to Park Güell (metro L3, Lesseps or Vallcarca, then about 20 minutes on foot). In the evening visit Casa Milà. Until 1 November 2026 there is a Sunset visit from €25, and after that the Night Experience from €39.50.
Two days: day 1
Sagrada Família in the morning, then Casa Vicens and Park Güell. Both have their own time slots, so leave room between them. Casa Vicens times are not published in one place, so book it first and build the day around it.
Sagrada Família tickets →Two days: day 2
Casa Batlló and Casa Milà on Passeig de Gràcia, and Palau Güell near the Liceu metro stop in the afternoon. Palau Güell is closed on Mondays, so do not plan this day for a Monday. Casa Milà has a few closing dates: 25 December 2026 and 11 to 17 January 2027.
Casa Milà →Which Gaudí tour is right for you
Tours differ more in what they include than in what they show. Always check whether entry tickets are part of the price.
Single-site guided visit
A guide for one building, for example the Sagrada Família or Park Güell. The official guided visit of the basilica lasts about 50 minutes and costs €30.
Combined Gaudí tour
Two or three buildings in one half day or day, often with transport between them. Useful if you have only one day. Check which sites are visited inside and which only from the street.
Walking tour on Passeig de Gràcia
A shorter tour of the modernist buildings on and around the boulevard, often seen from outside. Good for background, but check whether you go inside the houses.
Private tour
A guide for your own group, with a flexible route and pace. Suited to families and to groups with special wishes.
Not by Gaudí: Hospital de Sant Pau
The Hospital de Sant Pau is sometimes mistaken for a Gaudí building, but it is not his. It was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, another Catalan modernist architect. It is worth a visit in its own right. A self-guided visit costs €18 until 14:00 and €17 afterwards in 2026.
It is a good addition to a Gaudí trip, but do not book it as a Gaudí site.
